The Native American Woman

for the contest. I think I'll rate the entry level a 3, I believe thats about right. I really wanted to showcase the sensual nature of the native woman, and her connection with nature. I wanted viewers to feel she is at peace with her surroundings, and to see that the true tale of the Native American woman is tied directly to the world in which she lives. She is aware of the part she plays, and is a spiritual being.

the red and purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the things you have

Make me wise so that I may understand the things

hidden in every leaf and rock.

I seek strength, not to be greater than my brother,
but to fight my greatest enemy - myself.
Make me always ready to come to you
with clean hands and straight eyes.
So when life fades, as the fading sunset,
my Spirit may come to you without shame."
